Choir Alen Mak

 The first choir in the Pirin region of Bulgaria, founded in 1923 by Vasily Solovyov / Russian emigrant /. In the rich 85-year history of the choir the fate and love of generations of lovers of choral song and art are intertwined.
 
Since its first participation in the 1938 festival of choirs from Southwest Bulgaria, the choir participates in all festivals for amateur art activities in the country.

Participations
 
Participation in the Panorama of Bulgarian Choral and Performing Arts - Sofia `77,` 01, `0 2 '04, 05, 06, 07, 08,` 09 took part in the competition XIV of church music - Preveza, Greece `08 / silver /.
 
In 2009 the choir participated in the International Festival "Haynovski days of Orthodox Music" - Hainovka, Poland / awarded a special prize / in I-st International festival of spiritual music "Music Edict Festival" - Nis, Serbia and the prestigious Bulgarian musical cycle "Viva la musica", which is held under the auspices of the Ministry of culture and the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers. In December concerts "Nativity" were held in the cities of Varna, Kyustendil, Dupnitsa, Velingrad and Blagoevgrad.
 
In 2010 the choir participated in the II International Choir Festival "Antalya` 2010 '- Turkey into three categories: "Open performances", "Competition" and "Folklore". The group won second prize in the Mixed Choirs category. The conductors were awarded the Special Prize for best selected repertoire and interpretation.
 
In 2012 marks a new creative achievements and participation in the II International Choir Festival Istanbul 2012 ', which includes participants from from Turkey, Macedonia, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria. The choir received the highest evaluation of the jury - 94.80 out of 100 points with conductor Jolanta Lazarova. The choir celebrated the 70th anniversary of Chief Conductor Hristo Velev, who was awarded the title "Honorary Citizen" of Blagoevgrad. After 30 years, the new management of the Chitalishte / Cultural Center/ "Nikola Vaptzarov " led by Vasil Novoselski, bought new stage costumes.
 
The choir has performed in various cities in Bulgaria,participated in joint concerts with solo performances and orchestra Chamber Opera Theatre - Blagoevgrad and chamber ensemble composition is a regular participant in his plays. It participated in concerts, in competitions and festivals in Macedonia, Greece, Russia, Hungary, Slovakia, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and others. The repertoire of the people included works of choral music from the Baroque to contemporary music style cantata - oratorio works, Eastern Orthodox chants, choral works of Bulgarian Rhapsody. It made recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio, Bulgarian National Television and Nova TV.
 
In 2013, the Choir "Alen Mak" place 15 appearances in concerts, more important than that: capture Easter program together with people FA "Pirin" from Television Centre Blagoevgrad broadcast on BNT 2 Choral Concert "Resurrection of Christ" choral concert on occasion of the 80th anniversary of prof. Hristo Arishtirov, choral concert together with the chorus "sounds Rilski" in Blagoevgrad and Samokov and concert on the occasion of 40 years of Radio Blagoevgrad. In December 2013. with a gala concert was celebrated 60 anniversary of Conductor Yolanta Lazarova. 2014.
